Terms
The international specialty pharmaceutical company Meda has acquired the global rights for Edluar™ for the short-term treatment of insomnia, and OX-NLA for the treatment of allergic and non-allergic rhinitis and combination products based on this substance. As a result of this, Meda took over the development of OX-NLA when the license agreement was signed in 2008. In conjunction with the signing of the agreement, Orexo received USD 20m from Meda.
According to the agreement, Orexo will receive USD 15m if OX-NLA is approved in the US. Orexo will also receive a double-digit royalty from Meda’s sales of Edluar and OX-NLA.
